The town became famous for this skill, and in 1841, Honiton lace was used to create Queen Victoria’s wedding dress. Today, fine examples of Honiton lace can be viewed at the local Allhallows Museum, which also displays pottery and antiques. Honiton is an excellent base for exploring the Devon countryside and neighbouring villages.
